This is a Fashion Week first! People were able to buy tickets for the event and I was so glad to be part of it. The BFC said they wanted " to inspire young people and make LFW a cultural citywide celebration "
Waiting for Alexa Chung catwalk, I had the chance to meet a Climate Change writer and researcher who was here to talk with people about fashion and sustainability. It was really interesting to exhange on this touchy subject. Climate change activist groupe Exinction Rebellion asked for LFW cancellation this year and is calling for this year's to be the last. So being in that atmosphere of blurr future was interesting.
Alexa Chung's catwalk was an experience I'll never forget. I liked being immerged in her universe and I also enjoyed seeing the back of every styles (I have an interest for the behind of a look, I got to see Back Side - Fashion from Behind exhibition).
The LFW tickets also allowed access to the Discovery Lab where were displayed new brands and designers and a lot of those were working on sustainability.
LONG STORY SHORT: amazing memories! I met a really nice researcher, a photographer and a young designer as well and it felt absolutely incredible to be immersed in the whole fashion environment.
London has this open-minded vibe where everyone believes in#IWillWearWhatILike and is free to enjoy and own their style without fearing others' judgment.

Une première pour la Fashion Week! L'évènement a été ouvert au public et je suis ravie d'avoir pu y participer. La BFC a déclaré vouloir " inspirer les jeunes et faire de LFW un évènement culturel à l'échelle de la ville ".
En attendant le défilé de Alexa Chung, j'ai eu la chance de rencontrer une écrivaine et chercheuse sur les changements climatiques qui était ici pour discuter de l'industrie de la fashion dans un monde en difficultés climatiques. C'était vraiment intéressant d'échanger sur ce sujet souvent délicat. Le groupe d'activistes du changement climatique Exinction Rebellion avait demandé l'annulation de LFW cette année et a demandé à ce que cette année soit la dernière. Être dans cette atmosphère d'un futur flou était fascinant.
Le défilé d'Alexa Chung était une expérience que je n'oublierai jamais. J'ai grandement apprécié être immergée dans son univers et, pour une fois, j'ai pu observer les look de dos (je porte un intérêt non-nul au derrière d'un look, je suis même allé voir l'exposition Back Side - Fashion from Behind).
Les tickets donnaient également accès au Discovery Lab où l'on pouvait découvrir des nouvelles marques et designers dont beaucoup se préoccupaient des problématiques de recyclage et d'environnement.
EN BREF: des souvenirs incroyables! Cet événement m'a permis de rencontrer une chercheuse adorable, un photographe ainsi qu'un jeune designer et d'échanger avec eux et c'était fantastique d'être immergée ainsi dans l'univers de la mode.
Londres a cette atmosphère d'ouverture d'esprit où tout le monde croit en # IWillWearWhatLike et est libre de porter ce qu'il souhaite, comme il le souhaite, sans se préoccuper de l'avis des autres.
